Responsible for providing assistance to at-risk students.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of BS/BA degree in Education Social Work Psychology or a related field
- Ability to read analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals financial reports and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from the community regulatory agencies or members of staff
- Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students staff and the community
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form
- Professional in personal conduct and actions
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in working with school-age students.
- Certified/licensed in Counseling or Social Work
- Experience using technology as an instructional tool in the classroom
- Experience in working within a Professional Learning Community
- Knowledge of Google Suite and other internet-based applications
Duties:
- Effectively work with at-risk students their families and school staff
- Develop and implement individual academic and behavioral plans for school and home that generate positive student outcomes
- Recommend and assist with interventions for at-risk students to increase their academic performance
- Meet with at-risk students regularly to monitor progress
- Assist students with organization and study skills
- Communicate empathetically and effectively with students
- Ability to plan and organize; excellent work habits
- Willing to attend conferences and participate in professional development
- Perform other duties as assigned by the administration
