JOB SUMMARY: Work with Engineers to assist with basic re-design and development efforts of Mechanical Electrical Show and/or Ride controls and software systems. They will learn Safety systems for Ride Controls how to interface with vendors and basic Project Management skills along with Electrical and Mechanical engineering fundamentals.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare review and maintain technical documentation including specifications reports procedures and records to ensure accuracy compliance and traceability throughout the project lifecycle
• Perform and verify engineering calculations to support design analysis and implementation of systems in accordance with applicable standards and requirements.
• Plan execute and support factory acceptance tests to verify system functionality performance and compliance prior to delivery or installation.
• Conduct and support site acceptance testing to confirm proper installation integration and operational performance at the customer site.
• Diagnose analyze and resolve technical issues during testing commissioning and operation providing root cause analysis and corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to manage technical requirements schedules deliverables and issue resolution.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic AC/DC electrical knowledge Autocad Physics Calculus MS Office
• In pursuit of an Associate Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
• Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
• A transcript is required upon application.

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) knowledge Programming Skills excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Preferred majors include: Architecture Engineering Construction Management Business Administration Business Management or similar.
• Preferred coursework completed: Themed Entertainment Architecture Engineering or Construction Management.

• This internship will be an in-person experience based in our Orlando offices.
• Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
• Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
• All of our internships are paid and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
