Internship – Digital Capability Development, eCommerce (Summer 2027)

JOB SUMMARY:

The eCommerce Intern will support the Digital Capability Development eCommerce team responsible for helping shape and enhance digital commerce experiences across Universal Destinations & Experiences. The intern will gain hands on experience in ecommerce strategy digital product development guest experience optimization analytics and cross functional collaboration.

Working alongside the eCommerce team the intern will learn how business needs and guest insights are translated into digital capabilities and enhancements across ticketing hotel package and other commerce experiences. The internship will provide exposure to the full lifecycle of digital initiatives including identifying opportunities defining business needs partnering with Product and UXUI supporting testing and validation and evaluating results after launch. These areas directly reflect the current teams responsibilities for booking platform strategy optimization business requirements UAT and roadmap development.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support eCommerce initiatives focused on improving the digital purchase experience and reducing guest friction.
• Assist with research and analysis of guest experiences ecommerce trends competitive experiences and emerging digital capabilities.
• Support development of business requirements strategic inputs presentations and other documentation for digital commerce initiatives.
• Participate in cross functional project meetings and collaborate with partners across Product UXUI Analytics Technology Marketing Optimization and Digital Production.
• Support UAT activities for new ecommerce capabilities and enhancements to ensure experiences meet defined business and guest needs.
• Assist with reviewing analytics testing results and other insights to understand ecommerce performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Monitor digital commerce experiences and help document potential guest friction points defects and enhancement opportunities.
• Support ecommerce roadmap initiatives and other strategic projects across UDX destinations.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and Team Member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• In pursuit of an Associate Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
• Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
• A transcript is required upon application.

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

• Preferred majors include: Business Marketing Digital Media User Experience Information Systems Analytics Hospitality Management or similar.
• Coursework or experience related to ecommerce digital marketing product management UX analytics project management or business analysis is preferred. Familiarity with digital analytics experimentation content management or experience analytics tools is a plus.
• Strong interest in ecommerce digital product development technology and consumer experience. Candidates should demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills strong attention to detail effective written and verbal communication intellectual curiosity and an ability to collaborate across teams.

• This internship will be an in-person experience based in our Orlando offices.
• Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university and must have a graduation date later than August 2027.
• Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
