Internal Quality Technician IV Over-Inspector

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Ensures product quality by monitoring manufacturing processes investigating and resolving non-conformities and supporting compliance with quality standards. Utilizes quality tools data analysis and inspection procedures to prevent defects and drive continuous improvement.

• Ensure the quality of compounds components and tires through inspection testing and defect prevention activities.
• Identify investigate and resolve non-conformities including determining product dispositions in collaboration with Quality Management and Production teams.
• Monitor in-process quality characteristics perform required over-inspections and document corrective actions.
• Verify compliance with quality assurance policies procedures and error-proofing requirements.
• Utilize measurement tools data collection systems and Microsoft Excel to track and analyze quality performance.
• Apply quality management methodologies such as SPC FMEA 8D PPAP MSA and ISO/TS 16949 standards.
• Communicate effectively follow established procedures and use problem-solving skills to support continuous quality improvement.
• Be self-managed detail-oriented and capable of performing under pressure
• Follow all plant ESH CBS quality and department processes and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be a current certified grader at Continental Tire Sumter for a minimum of 2 years
• Must be able to work the assigned shift for this position
• Must be able to pass titmus vision exam
• This role is an internal only position external applicants will not be considered for this role

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 20-75 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds
