Internal Medicine Licensed Veterinary Technician

We are looking for: Internal Medicine LVT

Shift: Wednesday - Saturday 8am - 6pm

The Internal Medicine team is constantly working with our internists to provide information to our clients regarding patient care updates and treatments. This is one department that focuses on relationship building as patient care is longer in duration. If you want to combine your love of animals and clients this is the department for you! !

What youll do:

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg %/mgetc).
• Inducemonitorand recoverpatients fromanesthesia
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up andassistwith endoscopic procedures (GI nasal urinary airway).
• Patient discharge and client education

Who you are:

• State Registered Veterinary Technician licenserequired
  • MedVet provides license transfer assistance
• Prior veterinary experiencerequiredpreviousemergencyexperience desired
• Proficientincalculations(drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation:

This position has an initial hiring range of $24.00 to $40.00 per hour based on skillset and experience.

We support our caregivers with lucrative shift differentials:

-Hours worked between 8pm and 11:59pm base pay $2/hour

-Hours worked between 12am to 7:59am base pay $3/hour

-Hours worked on Weekends (day or night) base pay $1/hour any applicable differential
