Intern- Plastics Process Engineer

• Assist Process Engineers with injection molding process development and optimization activities.
• Support process documentation including setup sheets work instructions process parameter records and engineering standards.
• Participate in molding trials tool qualifications and process validation activities under appropriate supervision.
• Collect organize and analyze manufacturing data related to scrap cycle time downtime utilization and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Assist with root cause investigations of quality concerns using structured problem-solving methods.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety quality delivery cost and productivity.
• Participate in shop-floor observations manufacturing audits 5S activities and visual management improvements.
• Use basic statistical tools to evaluate process performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support engineering projects involving automation robotics tooling and manufacturing equipment.
• Create reports and presentations summarizing data project findings progress and recommendations.
• Collaborate professionally with cross-functional teams and communicate project status to the assigned mentor.
• Complete a defined internship project and present the results to relevant plant stakeholders at the conclusion of the assignment.

Qualifications :

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics Engineering Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering Engineering Technology or a related technical discipline.
• Completion of relevant engineering coursework or laboratory experience is preferred.
• Previous internship co-op manufacturing technical project or hands-on experience is beneficial but not required.
