Job Description:

The Information Assurance / Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for providing technical guidance and oversight in assessing security infrastructure network architecture and system design to ensure the protection of enterprise systems and applications. This role identifies security risks threats and vulnerabilities across networks systems applications and emerging technology initiatives while supporting the development and implementation of effective security controls policies and engineering standards. The position also serves as a technical advisor to clients and internal stakeholders on information assurance best practices technologies and implementation strategies.

Essential Functions:

• Provide guidance and oversight in assessing security infrastructure and network and systems design to ensure system/network security

• Identifysecurity risks threats and vulnerabilities of networks systemsapplicationsandnew technologyinitiatives

• Provide oversight in the development testing and operation of firewalls intrusion detection systems enterprise anti-virussystemsand software deployment tools

• Develop policies and procedures for securing the system infrastructure and applications

• Develop complex technical and programmatic assessments evaluate engineering and integrationinitiativesand provide technical support to assess security policiesstandardsand guidelines

• Perform product evaluations recommend and implement products/services for network security

• Interact with clients and provide recommendations on information assurance engineering standards implementationdependenciesand changing information assurance related technologies

Qualifications:

• To be eligible applicants must be pursuing aBachelorsdegreein Computer Science Computer EngineeringInformation Technology/Computer Information Systems with Network Focus or Communications Focus ElectricalEngineeringor related field.

Preferred Skills:

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols

• Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and security infrastructure (Firewalls IDS/IPS IPSec VPNs)

• Knowledge of Computer/System Security topics such as Antivirus Authentication Authorization Access Control Cryptography SSO Business Continuity Planning and Application Security
