This is a 1st shift position located on-site in Reno NV or South Portland ME.

Job Summary:

  • Support testing and evaluation of products against global standards for energy storage systems high-power inverters converters and related power electronics equipment.

  • Execute product safety testing and support construction reviews in accordance with applicable standards and test plans.

  • Perform grid interoperability testing troubleshooting data analysis and documentation.

  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams external labs and other stakeholders to troubleshoot equipment under test identify issues and support practical solutions while maintaining project timelines and safe work practices.

  • Support test automation using AC/DC power sources measurement equipment electronic load banks and power conversion systems.

  • Assist with test planning schedule tracking Gantt charts and project execution activities.

  • Design build and use test fixtures test equipment and lab setups to support certification and compliance testing.

  • Set up test configuration hardware and firmware execute tests and post-process test results.

  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to improve testing efficiency and support the certification process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Power Systems Power Electronics or a related technical field.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of high-voltage systems electrical principles and the ability to read or support the development of electrical wiring diagrams.

  • Familiarity with electrical schematics layout drawings test setups and other technical documentation.

  • Hands-on exposure to lab equipment such as Yokogawa power analyzers grid simulators RLC load banks and communication interfaces is preferred.

  • Strong Python skills; experience with Pytest or test automation is a plus.

  • Exposure to NRTL product certification or global compliance processes is a plus.

  • Strong lab testing data analysis troubleshooting documentation and reporting skills.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering and compliance teams.

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while taking direction and feedback from team members.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
