Our Orlando office has an opening for an Interior Designer/Architect to join our Workplace Studio offering the opportunity to be an integrated and active member of a diverse multi-disciplinary team.

What youll be doing:


  • Lead and collaborate with team members and manage all phases of design and production work for the Workplace team
  • Guide and mentor staff in the review of technical and code matters
  • Engage on diverse projects ranging from small to large
  • Work closely with the team and its consultants to develop cohesive design solutions
  • Participate in client presentations design meetings and project discussions helping translate ideas into clear design direction.
  • Perform quality control reviews of drawings documentation and project deliverables to ensure accuracy consistency and alignment with design intent and project standards
  • Participate in site visits construction administration and review of submittals and finish samples
  • Communicate effectively with fellow team members and consultants across offices
  • Maintain a strong understanding of workplace trends materials products technology and emerging design strategies
  • Creatively and eloquently present design concepts and ideas
  • Bring a hands-on collaborative approachworking alongside the team rather than simply managing from the sidelines


About you:


A great match for our team is someone who has:


  • A bachelors or masters degree in interior design or architecture
  • 8-10 years of interior design or architecture experience ideally experience in workplace project types
  • Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office required
  • Professional licensure or working towards licensure
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards
  • An exceptionally positive and collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience leading managing and mentoring multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to occasionally travel as there may be limited travel required.
  • Excellent communication skills fostering a culture of mentorship and apprenticeship within the team
  • Working knowledge and understands the implications of how the design of a project affects BOMA or other square footage calculations
