Job Summary
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code Title 10 as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.
This position is with the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command Assistant Chief of Staff G-3 at Fort Belvoir Virginia.
- Oversee the conduct of the Operations Support section ensuring the G3 Operations Director maintains Situational Understanding of current operations.
- Provide advice to G33 G3-OD and G3 leaders on the commands Operations Command and Control and ensure best practices are followed.
- Oversee the assigning of missions and the day to day administrative tasking to subordinate elements.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination as determined by a completed background investigation.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85 Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Must be willing and able to participate in organization operations and training in the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS).
