Overview

Prime Controls is seeking instrumentation students with a strong work ethic for our summer internship program. Our internship is designed to allow the student to experience the instrumentation and controls industry up close. The experience gained allows the student to see if a career in controls is right for them. Prime Controls actively supports the development of future professional Instrumentation Technicians; our internship program is the first step.

A Typical Day at Prime Controls

  • Inspecting and testing instrumentation and control systems to guarantee optimal operation.
  • Reading and interpreting complex technical drawings and schematics.
  • Configuring and adjusting control systems and equipment according to production specifications.
  • You will receive technical advice from staff and team members regarding system operation and troubleshooting complexities.

What You Will Bring

The Basic

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Pursuing an associate or bachelors degree in instrumentation technology electrical technology or an equivalent technical program
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an undergraduate program
  • Graduation date in Summer 2025 or later
  • Available to intern for a minimum of 6 continuous weeks

Work Environment & Physical Demands (Text Only)
Physical requirements and work environment expectations vary by position. Generally roles at Prime Controls may involve moderate noise occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions and depending on the role work at heights or around airborne particles and electrical components. Physical activities may include standing walking sitting climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching or crawling as well as the use of hands arms and voice communication. Some roles may require lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements may include close vision distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
