Job Summary

Founded in 1953 Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM). Full-Time Tenure Track

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. Two years of previous teaching experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. Professional Engineering License. Demonstrated teacher effectiveness across multiple modalities in higher education is strongly. Experience using D2L Brightspace is preferred.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide classroom instruction in Engineering Science and Engineering Technology.
Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.
Collaborate with colleagues on course and program development as well as transfer course review.
Participate in departmental division wide and/or college wide committees.
At the direction of the Department Chairperson faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
Ability to teach a class at Malta campus. Teaching assignments may include weekend evening and online.

The Salary for this position is $53000.00. This is a 10-month position (151 workdays). In addition to the baseline salary there is the potential for additional compensation through voluntary overload teaching.
