Requirements / Qualifications

RECRUITMENT IS OPEN FOR ALL 6.5 HOUR 3 HOUR AND SUBSTITUTE POSITIONSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have an AA degree or higher or at least 48 semester units of general education or pass an assessment test. One year experience working with children in an organized setting; preferably in a Special Education FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE: Knowledge of child guidance principles especially as they relate to students with disabilities. Knowledge of basic subjects taught in District schools. Knowledge of educational technology and therapeutic equipment. Ability to assist with instruction and related activities in an assigned special education program. Ability to perform clerical duties and maintain cooperative working relationships with others. Ability to supervise and provide behavior support to students according to approved policies and procedures. Ability to reinforce instruction to students with disabilities communication and behavioral challenges. Potential exposure to blood other bodily fluids and children with aggressive behavior.
