QUALIFICATIONS:
IA III: List on application experience that is relevant to this position in addition to providing the required documentation listed in this vacancy.
Instructional Assistant IIIs support our severe/emotionally disturbed students. We are looking for candidates with any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job duties.
Severe/Emotionally Disturbed - working with students who have a Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs. Students designated as an emotionally disturbed (ED) class or an autism class or assigned to a Behaviorist to assist individual students. Experience working with groups of children; experience working with impaired children or adults highly desirable; coursework in child development highly desirable. *In some programs possession of or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license*

• APassing score from San Juan Unified School Districts Proficiency Exam** - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam will be accepted. (To request a digital test please complete the Google Form here:Pre-Employment Test

OR

• BOfficial passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)

**Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required regardless of educational background.Applications submitted without the required test results will not be considered.
