Welcome! Our unified P-12 district serves about 4300 students and consists of the Amador County Unified School District and the Amador County Office of Education. Our schools and communities are nestled in the heart of the Gold Country in the Sierra Nevada Foothills close to San Francisco Sacramento Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. Amador County Unified School District has two comprehensive high schools one alternative high school two junior high schools and six elementary schools.

Requirements / Qualifications

Required to be eligible:High school diploma or the equivalent andTwo years of college (48 units) orA. A. degree (or higher) orPass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction.
