Requirements / Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:* High School Diploma or the equivalent; and * 2 years of college (48 units ) or Associates degree (A. A.) or higher; or 2-3 years experience in a school setting working with children* Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills. Tutoring experience a plus and knowledge of SPED policies and processes and experience with special needs students is preferred.

The candidate for this Instructional Aide position will have an understanding of students with special needs with a minimum of first aid training prior to beginning of employment. The aide will work with high school students in instructional practices curriculum outside activities physical education electives and recess. Candidate must be patient kind friendly observant able to keep good documentation and collaborate with teachers and parents. See job description for list of duties and responsibilities.
