Requirements / Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or the equivalent; and 2 years of college (48 units ) or Associates degree (A. A.) or higher; or 2-3 years experience in a school setting working with children Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills. Bilingual a plus and knowledge of SPED policies and processes and experience with special needs students in preferred.

The qualified candidate for this Instructional Aide position will work 1:1 or in a group setting with students. Candidate must have an understanding of students with special needs with a minimum of first aid training prior to beginning of employment. The aide will work in instructional practices curriculum outside activities physical education electives and recess. Candidates must be patient kind friendly observant able to keep good documentation and collaborate with teachers and parent. See job description for list of duties and responsibilities.
