Palermo Union Elementary School District is a Pre-K through 8th grade district serving approximately 1430 students. The district operates 4 school sites: Helen Wilcox grades TK through 3rd Golden Hills grades 4th through 5th Palermo Middle School grades 6th through 8th and Honcut grades Pre-K through 3rd. The successful applicant must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing English and Spanish with students and parents. Must be able to translate formal documents from English to Spanish.
External Applicants Must Provide: Letters of showing 48 units/Degree or CODESP certificate
1. Possess a High School diploma or its recognized equivalent AND2. Completed two years of higher education study (48 units) OR3. Obtained an Associates (or higher) degree OR4. Passed the CODESP test that demonstrates: knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading writing and mathematics OR instructing reading readiness writing readiness and mathematics readiness as appropriateAbility to communicate effectively orally and written in English and Spanish with students and to translate formal documents from English to : Application packets are considered incomplete unless ALL of the above requirements are included.
