Infrastructure Engineer

@Orchard LLC is actively recruiting an Infrastructure Engineer to support a major management consulting engagement located in the Phoenix AZ area. This is an on-site role for the client responsible for maintaining secure scalable and highly available infrastructure environments across servers databases middleware networking and cloud platforms.

As the Site Reliability Engineer you will be expected to.

• Manage and support enterprise infrastructure environments acrossLinux/Unix and Windows servers virtualized and cloud environments middlewareand application hosting platforms.
• Monitor infrastructure health performance and system availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents outages and performance bottlenecks.
• Support deployment configuration and maintenance of infrastructure components.
• Collaborate with the application database network security and DevOps team.
• Implement infrastructure automation and operational improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain system documentation operational procedures and architecture diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security audit and banking regulatory requirements.
• Support disaster recovery backup and high availability strategies.
• Participate in on-call support rotations and incident management processes.

Your background and education will need to include.

• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent preferred but not required.
• 5 years of experience with Linux/Unix and Windows server administration.
• 5 years of experience in Infrastructure monitoring and observability tools.
• Strong experience with Server provisioning and configuration management.
• Good knowledge of Networking fundamentals (DNS TCP/IP Load Balancing Firewalls) and enterprise storage and backup solutions.
• 5 years of experience with Shell-scripting Python or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines & DevOps practices.
• Experience supporting Enterprise applications & middleware platforms.
• Experience supporting database environments (Oracle SQL Server DB2 PostgreSQL etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management capabilities.
• Experience performing root cause analysis (RCA).
• Understanding of system performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Experience working in high-availability and mission-critical environments

Extra experience that will stand out.

• Experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry.
• Exposure to cloud platforms AWS Azure or GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Monitoring tools such as Splunk Dynatrace AppDynamics Grafana or Prometheus

Compensation: Compensation ranges are determined by several factors including skill set experience licensure and certifications and location. The anticipated range for a base salary for this role is between $90-120K. There may be some flexibility for exceptionally qualified individuals.
