Job Summary
- Youll perform moderately complex structural engineering work to include the preparation analysisand review of design plans specifications estimates and reports to comply with guidelinesset by both federal state and local agencies.
- Youll perform contract administration in the review of structural services required of engineeringconsultants and architects and make appropriate revisions and recommendations.
- Youll prepare structural design plans and specifications quality assurance plans conceptual anddetailed cost estimates and other reports necessary for the construction maintenance andoperation of various concrete structural steel timber masonry metal timber structures andother related materials.
- Youll assist in the review of project status initiates changes and provides advice and assistance
- to structural designers and other engineering and design staff.
- Youll assist in the review of structural plans and specifications design and mathematical calculations in the completion of structural engineering projects and assignments as well ascreating cost and expenditure requirements for alternate means of construction.
- Youll assist in the review of completed structural work for conformance to recognized standardsand feasibility of construction as well as completeness and accuracy.
- Youll assist in the design and layout of foundation floor wall and roof framing plans for majorbuilding structures.
- Youll make recommendations to contractors architects engineers and construction inspectors onstructural issues during construction.
- Youll analyze environmental impact reports negative declarations and soils tests data to makeappropriate recommendations for foundation design.
- Youll prepare feasibility reports and preliminary design for proposed structures and facilities underconstruction.
- Youll perform site investigations and prepare scoping reports and recommendations.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelors degree in structuralengineering or civil engineering with specialization on structural engineering courses
- Three (3) years full-time paid professional structural engineering experience
- Possession of a Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) recognized by the State of CABoard of Professional Engineers Land Surveyors and Geologists is preferred
- Emphasis on school building construction is preferred
