ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in Information Technology business systems data analytics and end-user support within a collaborative nonprofit environment. The IT Intern will gain exposure to real-world technology projects enterprise applications data reporting process improvement initiatives and help desk operations while working alongside experienced IT professionals.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN & EXPERIENCE


IT Help Desk & Technical Support Experience

The IT Intern will gain valuable experience supporting daily technology operations by:

  • Serving as a first-level resource for users experiencing technical issues.
  • Assisting staff with hardware software and network-related troubleshooting.
  • Supporting the setup and configuration of computers mobile devices and peripheral equipment.
  • Assisting users with Microsoft 365 applications and other business software tools.
  • Managing and documenting support requests solutions and technical procedures.
  • Providing audio/visual support for meetings presentations and conference room technology.
  • Participating in equipment inventory maintenance and technology deployment projects.
  • Collaborating with IT team members to support organizational technology initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology Computer Science Cybersecurity Data Analytics Management Information Systems or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware operating systems and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Interest in cyber security business intelligence automation or technical support.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts in a professional environment.
