AMERICAN SYSTEMS a100% employee-ownedfederal contractor is seeking ahighly experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Masterto provide cybersecurity architecture security engineering and risk management support for complex systems inDallas TX.
This role performssenior-level ISSO and ISSE duties supporting system security engineering assessment authorization and continuous monitoring under theJSIG RMFand applicableNIST SP 800-seriesguidance in aSpecial Access Program (SAP) environment.

Responsibilities
As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Master at AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will:
- Develop and integratecybersecurity architecturesfor systems and networks processing multiple classification levels
- Performsenior-level ISSO and ISSE dutiesthroughout the system development authorization and continuous monitoring life cycles
- ApplyJSIG RMF and NIST SP 800-seriesrequirementsto system design control implementation assessment and authorization
- Manually develop and maintainauthorization artifacts and bodies of evidence including SSPs control narratives POA&Ms inventories diagrams and assessment evidence
- Evaluatesecurity architecturesand system changes for impacts to security controls authorization boundaries and risk posture
- Performhands-on security assessmentsusing command-line audits compliance scans configuration analysis log reviews and control validation
- Identifysecurity gapsand developactionable risk management remediation and POA&M plans
- Determineprotectionneeds and coordinate the allocation of system-specific hybrid and commoncontrols
- Implement secure configuration processes and assess compliance with STIGs andSecurity Requirements Guides
- UseTenable Trellix SolarWinds SIEM SCAP OpenSCAP and Evaluate-STIGto assess vulnerabilities configurations and controls
- Reviewsystem diagramsdata flows inventories interconnections andconfigurationsfor accuracy and security compliance
- Coordinate with program security authorization officials assessors system owners engineers and administrators
- Providetechnical leadership for complex SAP cybersecurity incident response remediation and authorization activities
Qualifications
- ActiveTop Secret/SCI clearancewith SAP eligibility
- Bachelors degreein Cybersecurity Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Information Technology or a related field
- 1112 years of relevant experiencein cybersecurity information assurance systems security engineering or ISSO support
- DoD 8140 IAM-III level certification(e.g. CISM CISSP GSLC or CCISO)
- Experience performingcombined ISSO and ISSE dutiesfor classified systems in aSAP environment
- Advanced knowledge of theJSIG RMF and applicableNIST SP 800-seriespublications
- Proven experiencemanually developing authorization artifacts and bodies of evidencewithout reliance on automated RMF tools
- Experienceauthoring SSPs control narratives POA&Ms inventoriesarchitecture diagrams and assessment evidence
- Hands-on experienceassessing Linux and Windows systemsthroughcommand-line validation compliance scanning configuration reviews and log analysis
- Experience implementing and assessingSTIGsSecurity Requirements Guides and secure configuration baselines
- Knowledge ofenterprise architecturefirewalls remote accessnetwork infrastructure andsystems integration
- Experience preparing systems forauthorization reassessment continuous monitoring andsecurity inspections
- Ability to identify deficiencies assess risk and provide actionable remediation recommendations
- Ability tocoordinate with customers security officials system owners engineers and administrators
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $180000.00/Yr. - USD $200000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
