Industrial Wastewater Operator

Seeking a Licensed Wastewater Operator for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Roseland NJ.

Salary is between $80000 - $94000 per year (based on experience)

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize physical chemical and biological treatment systems including DAF pH neutralization equalization and solids handling.
• Monitor daily water softener and cooling tower readings.
• Perform routine testing and coordinate required grab and composite sampling.
• Maintain logbooks records and data for monthly DMR reporting and NJDEP compliance.
• Adjust chemical feed rates based on wastewater conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on pumps blowers valves sensors motors and other equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Follow OSHA LOTO confined space and all plant safety procedures.

• Required: New Jersey Wastewater Treatment Operator License Class N-1 or N-2.
• 35 years of industrial/manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of wastewater treatment experience; food/beverage manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of NJDEP regulations and industrial pretreatment requirements.
• Experience repairing/rebuilding pumps and replacing motors valves aerators and filters.
• Ability to run and fit PVC and black piping.
• Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.
• Microsoft Office experience preferred.

• Ability to work in industrial and wastewater environments and outdoors in varying weather.
• Ability to stand walk climb stairs/ladders bend reach and lift up to 50 lbs.
