Industrial Spray Booth Painter

What Youll Do

Assist the Manager with the following responsibilities:

• Wear required personal protective equipment including respirators disposable coveralls with hoods safety glasses and safety toe shoes
• Set up and operate spray booth painting equipment to coat metal products with paint and rust-proofing materials
• Prepare metal surfaces for painting
• Mix paints chemicals and thinners to required specifications and control viscosity levels
• Clean painting equipment and tools; organize and store materials properly
• Dispose of waste materials according to OSHA and company safety standards
• Maintain accurate daily and weekly production records

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant industrial painting experience
• Experience working with spray booth operations
• Ability to wear a half-piece respirator during paint operations
• Ability to pass:
  • Annual OSHA-compliant respirator fit test
  • Annual OSHA-compliant spirometry test
  • Annual Fit for Duty physical
• Ability to stand for 810 hours per day and occasionally bend stoop kneel push pull or lift up to 50 lbs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid drivers license

• Ability to read write and follow verbal and written instructions
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to identify issues and communicate effectively with supervisors
