Job Overview
Join a high-speed aseptic beverage manufacturing facility as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician. This role is critical to ensuring production uptime safety and product quality in a highly automated GMP-regulated environment. You will perform hands-on maintenance troubleshooting and repair of industrial production equipment supporting continuous operations and compliance standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced industrial mechanics from food beverage pharmaceutical chemical plastics or other highly automated manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production and packaging equipment
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including motors pumps valves gearboxes bearings and conveyors
Diagnose equipment failures and restore production in a timely manner
Read and interpret technical manuals schematics and process documentation (including P&IDs)
Maintain accurate maintenance logs work orders and compliance documentation
Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Follow GMP safety sanitation and environmental standards
Assist with facility maintenance and minor repairs as needed
Required Qualifications
5 years of industrial or mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong hands-on experience with preventative and predictive maintenance
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment (motors pumps valves gearboxes)
Ability to read equipment manuals and technical documentation
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience working in a structured or regulated manufacturing environment (GMP safety-driven or audit-based operations)
Preferred Experience
Food beverage pharmaceutical nutraceutical or cosmetics manufacturing experience
Experience in GMP-regulated or aseptic production environments
Familiarity with P&IDs process flow diagrams and automated production systems
Exposure to multi-trade systems such as HVAC refrigeration compressors boilers welding or plumbing
Schedule
Weekend day shift: 6:00 AM 6:30 PM
Rotating schedule:
Week 1: Thursday Sunday
Week 2: Friday Sunday
12-hour shifts with required weekend availability and occasional overtime
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand walk bend and kneel for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment with strict safety and sanitation standards
