Abacus Staffing and one of our national partners are looking for a Maintenance Technician in the Tolleson AZ area.

Position: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Tolleson AZ - 75th Ave & Van Buren

Pay Rate: $34.00/hr.

Shift Available:
3rd shift 11pm-7am (OT is mandatory)

Job Duties:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for monitoring multiple pieces of equipment on the new line. This person(s) will receive training on all equipment on the line and must be ready and available to assist the operators if a machine fault occurs that they cant clear. The mechanic(s) must be capable of knowing all machine functions recognizing machine faults rectifying root cause of failure and assisting operators when called upon to get machines back in operation quickly. The mechanic(s) must also possess advanced mechanical abilities so that they can make minor and major machine adjustments when necessary. Mechanics will also be performing daily weekly monthly and yearly preventive maintenance procedures as well as leading periodic overhauls of major equipment addition to having advanced mechanical skills mechanics should also be experienced in troubleshooting electrical problems and having PLC experience is preferred but not required.

Essential Function:

Monitor the variety pack equipment and assist operators when necessary to quickly clear alarms and faults on the line.

React quickly when called upon to help get equipment up and running after a breakdown or a machine fault and to make necessary mechanical adjustments

Utilize HMI (human/machine interface) to monitor system performance and ensure any system jams faults or other system performance drains are identified and resolved prior to generating system downtime

Perform required preventive maintenance tasks and lead overhauls on major equipment centers

Document parts usage and submit parts requests according to established min/max settings

Communicate with Team Leader or Supervisor other Automation Mechanics and System Operators to solve problems as a team in an expeditious manner

Wipe down equipment and work centers when repairs and tasks are complete

Perform periodic preventive maintenance functions on various pieces of equipment during designated downtime. These are P.M.s tasks that are more advanced and geared specifically for mechanics
