Industrial Engineer I-III

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling Inc a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Industrial Engineer I-III based at our Berea KY manufacturing plant.

What you will do:

• Support the design setup and continuous improvement of material handling systems including supermarkets kitting areas sequencing areas and milk run routes.

• Maintain and update materialflow data including bill of materials engineering changes and new product or process introductions.

• Analyze material movement to identify bottlenecks improve flow and enhance safety quality delivery and cost performance.

• Monitor impacts of manufacturing or process changes and adjust materialflow strategies accordingly.

• Collaborate with production supply chain engineering and other teams to provide recommendations and support improvement initiatives.

• Assist with planning and scheduling systems to reduce queue times and support justintime delivery.

• Support implementation and improvement of software hardware and equipment used for materialflow activities.

• Develop project plans track progress communicate updates and help drive successful project execution.

• Assist in the design and development of material handling fixturing and packaging solutions.

• Determine optimal packaging methods to maintain part integrity and ensure efficient delivery.

• Lead internal packaging redesign initiatives to align with evolving process requirements.

Level II Additions:

• Lead smallerscale implementations of supermarket design and milkrun processes.

Level III Additions:

• Lead major materialflow improvement initiatives and drive alignment with broader operational strategies.

What you will need:

Level I:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering .

• Up to 2 years of experience in manufacturing supply chain or industrial engineering.

• Experience with materialflow or materialhandling concepts preferred.

Level II:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering .

• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing supply chain or industrial engineering.

• 2-3 years of experience in materialflow or internallogistics processes preferred.

Level III:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering .

• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing supply chain or industrial engineering.

• 3-5 years of experience with advanced materialflow strategies such as kitting supermarket design or milkrun systems.

Skills Experience & Abilities

• Knowledge of discrete manufacturing processes and materialhandling systems.

• Ability to design analyze and optimize materialflow layouts and logistics methods.

• Familiarity with lean principles and continuousimprovement methodologies.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex process issues.

• Experience developing innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges.

• Strong projectmanagement skills and experience leading crossfunctional efforts.

• Ability to support teams through process changes and newsystem adoption.
