Industrial Engineer (Associate or Experienced)

The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Associate or Experienced Industrial Engineer located in Mesa AZ.

Position Overview: As an Industrial Engineer you will apply industrial engineering concepts and techniques to optimize products processes and services in alignment with program requirements. You will develop plant layouts capacity plans and workflows while evaluating new technologies for integration into production and service operations.

Position Responsibilities

• Design maintain and optimize production systems by integrating design supply base facilities equipment and personnel.

• Conduct workflow design and analysis to enhance operational efficiency and improve quality.

• Develop models databases and spreadsheets to analyze data providing summary analysis and metrics for leadership consultation.

• Research design and implement processes and tools to enhance schedule performance reduce costs and improve quality.

• Standardize assembly practices.

• Prepare operations plans including budgeting capacity analysis and production change management to meet technical goals.

• Support execution planning through project management planning scheduling and shop load practices.

• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and ergonomic guidelines.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

• 2 years work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

• (Level 3) 5 years work-related experience with a Bachelors degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.

• B.S. or higher in Aerospace Civil or Mechanical Engineering

• Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers

• Experience with 3D model based instruction

• Experience with any of the following: IVT CREO CATIA MES Gold PrimeR Aurora VisVSA DELMIA

• VisMockup ProModel FlexSim 3D Printed Parts Moonshine Shop Maker Space ImDev ICIDO Multi- Monitor Collaborative Rooms

• Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)
