Industrial Electrician

A Day in the Life:

The Plant Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance of the Destrehan LA Bunge grain elevator. Candidate must actively participate in Bunges employee safety policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees. Additionally this role is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supply safe food maintain a food safety culture within the site continually improve the sites food safety management system and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.

Position Details:

Monday through Friday 7a-3p

Overtime call out availability on-call rotation and/or straight days are required

Hourly pay rate: $32.44

What Youll Be Doing:

• Plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair (electrical circuits of 4160VAC or less)
• Troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drive (VFD) and AC/DC systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic industrial equipment
• Perform general electrician skills including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wires
• Follow interpret and read blueprints and schematics
• Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications
• Maintain electrical switchgear
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Industrial electrical experience (3 years preferred)
• Working knowledge of thermography
• Knowledge of and ability to follow NFPA70E guidelines
• TWIC card or ability to obtain a TWIC card
• Good written/verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate degree and/or technical certification
• PLC experience
• HVAC experience
• Knowledge of Studio 5000 programming software and Wonderware
