Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technician (Full-Time Temp-to-Hire)
Position Summary
The Electrical/Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing maintenance troubleshooting and repair of industrial manufacturing equipment with a focus on electrical mechanical and hydraulic systems. This full-time temp-to-hire position requires a dependable individual with a strong work ethic the ability to learn quickly and the capability to work independently with minimal supervision. The technician will support daily operations as well as respond to occasional off-hours emergencies to ensure equipment uptime and plant reliability.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Perform routine inspections lubrication adjustments and repairs on older manufacturing equipment to maintain safe and efficient operation.
- Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic issues with minimal instruction.
- Industrial Electrical Work Install and maintain power distribution motors control circuits and advanced electrical systems.
- Mechanical Systems Repair and maintain gears belts bearings shafts and related mechanical components.
- Hydraulic Systems Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of hydraulic pumps valves and cylinders.
- Thermocouples & Heating Elements Install test and repair temperature control devices and heating components.
- Compressor Maintenance Maintain and troubleshoot air compressors and associated pneumatic systems.
- Fabrication & Welding Perform basic welding cutting and sheet metal fabrication as needed.
- Reading Schematics Interpret wiring diagrams schematics and technical manuals to support repairs.
- Safety Compliance Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) PPE requirements and electrical safety standards.
- Emergency Support Respond to occasional off-hours or weekend calls for urgent equipment issues.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in industrial electrical systems including motors power distribution and control wiring.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in gears belts bearings and mechanical assemblies.
- Basic hydraulic system knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Experience with thermocouples heating elements and temperature control systems.
- Competence in basic welding fabrication and sheet metal work.
- Experience with air compressor maintenance.
- Strong independent work capability and ability to learn tasks quickly after initial instruction.
- Reliable attendance consistent work ethic and willingness to support emergency repairs outside normal hours.
Work Schedule
- MondayFriday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Occasional off-hours or weekend call-ins as required for emergency maintenance needs.
Pay
- $25-$35 DOE
