Piper Electric a Crete United Company is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Estimator to support our continued growth into industrial manufacturing plant and facility-based electrical work.

As we expand our industrial capabilities were looking for an estimator who understands the complexity of active facilities and can develop accurate competitive estimates for new installations expansions upgrades and retrofit projects.
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for industrial plants manufacturing environments processing facilities and other complex commercial facilities
- Review drawings specifications addenda and scope documents to identify project requirements risks and opportunities
- Perform complete quantity takeoffs and develop labor material equipment subcontractor and rental pricing
- Estimate projects involving power distribution equipment installations controls lighting facility upgrades and electrical infrastructure
- Develop conceptual budgets and design-assist pricing when complete construction documents are not available
- Coordinate with account managers operations leaders vendors and subcontractors to develop project strategies
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations
- Identify scope gaps constructability concerns value-engineering opportunities and potential project risks
- Prepare professional proposals pricing summaries alternates and value-engineering presentations
- Participate in estimate reviews proposal presentations and project turnover meetings
- Maintain organized records of estimates proposals historical pricing and bid results
- Track labor material equipment and subcontractor cost trends
- Stay current on industrial electrical systems products installation methods codes and market pricing
- At least six years of experience in the electrical industry
- At least three years of electrical estimating experience
- Experience estimating industrial plant manufacturing or large facility projects strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Accubid required
- Electrical field experience preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical construction methods labor productivity and material requirements
- Working knowledge of the NEC and applicable local building codes
- Ability to read and interpret complex plans specifications single-line diagrams and project documents
- Strong attention to detail organization and analytical skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment
- Base salary of $100000$130000 based on experience
