Job Summary
Adelphi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide in School nursing services for students with severe disabilities at a school facility in Hannibal MO.
The ideal candidate will provide professional nursing services to students in accordance with school district requirements while supporting student health safety and continuity of care.

Requirements
Active Missouri LPN license in good standing.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Minimum of 1 year of pediatric school or developmental-disability experience preferred.
Must pass Family Care Safety Registry and FBI fingerprint background checks.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within an educational team environment.
Responsibilities
Assess students health needs and provide routine nursing care throughout the school day.
Administer prescribed medications and emergency medications according to physician orders and school policies.
Provide first aid and emergency nursing care for illnesses injuries seizures allergic reactions and other medical emergencies.
Perform or coordinate specialized healthcare procedures required by students with complex medical needs.
Develop maintain and follow Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) and emergency healthcare plans.
Monitor students with chronic or complex health conditions and identify changes in their medical status.
Support healthcare-related requirements included in students IEPs and Section 504 Plans.
Maintain accurate and confidential nursing medication emergency and student health records.
Communicate with parents healthcare providers teachers administrators and other members of the student care team.
Conduct or assist with health screenings immunization monitoring infection control and communicable disease prevention.
Educate and assist school staff regarding student-specific medical needs emergency procedures medication administration and health and safety practices.
Any other duties as assigned.
