In-District Teacher of the Deaf

The SEEM Collaborative is seeking to fill the position of Teacher of the Deaf beginning in Fall 2026.

Responsibilities include providing both direct service to students and consultative services to their educational teams within SEEM member districts. Additional responsibilities include in-service trainings for educational teams and participation in educational team meetings. Students range in age from3-22.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has proper licensure (ToD - aural/oral) and has experience working in both special and general education classrooms.

Must be able to lift pull or push approximately 40 lbs and move quickly from standing to the floor and from the floor to standing.

Must be willing to work with verbally and/or physically aggressive students.

Employment is contingent upon passing a SAFIS fingerprint and CORI screening.
