Job Description:

Summary:

The Immigration Lab Lead will supervise student assistants and will be expected to provide research administrative and logistical support for the Immigration Lab Director faculty staff and fellows as called upon.

Essential Functions:

  • Assisting with collection and processing of project data.

  • Managing social media accounts.

  • Event preparation.

  • Other duties assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-time.

  • 15 hours per week.

Salary Range:

  • $18.40 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Candidates must bestudents in good standing in one of American Universitys programs.

  • Superior writing skills are essential.

  • Applicants must show attention to detail the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent research writing and editing ability are essential along with good computer and IT skills.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Preference will be given to candidates who are studying fields related to immigration communities and have strong Spanish-language skills.

  • Production skills such as creating videos podcasts and infographics are highly desirable.
