Immunology Internship Program Overview:


The Johnson & Johnson Immunology Internship Program offers afull-time immersive learning experience within Immunology Therapeutic Area Research and Development. Interns contribute to meaningful projects engage with leaders and colleagues across functions and build practical skills through structured learning mentorship and exposure to the drug development process. The program is designed to foster professional growthwhile giving interns an opportunity tosupport innovative immunology researchand clinical development.

Designed to cultivate the next generation of talent the program helps interns develop scientific technical and professional capabilities while exploring career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. The internship spans approximately three months from May 17 through August 6 2027. The position is located in Spring House PA.


Job Description:




As a Strategy and Operations Intern you will join the Immunology Portfolio and Asset Management team and help advance business operational and clinical excellence across Immunology. Working with an assigned mentor and colleagues across scientific and operational functions you will contribute to projects involving portfolio planning budget and outsourcing strategy data management and organizational communications. This role is designed for a highly organized and analytical student who communicates clearly learns quickly and enjoys translating complex information into practical insights and recommendations. You will complete a defined project and present your work at the organization-wide Summer Intern Research Symposium.


You could be responsible for:


  • Collaborating with physicians scientists and operational partners to gather organize and synthesize information for project deliverables and leadership communications.
  • Analyzing clinical operational financial or portfolio data to identify trends draw conclusions and recommend next steps.
  • Developing clear presentations dashboards summaries SharePoint and other communication materials that support alignment and decision-making.
  • Supporting portfolio-management budget-planning and outsourcing initiatives as assigned.
  • Applying data-management best practices to improve information quality traceability and readiness for digital tools and systems.
  • Participating in team and cross-functional meetings documenting decisions and actions and following through on assigned deliverables.
  • Preparing and presenting an abstract or poster at the Summer Intern Research Symposium and supporting additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications


  • Must be available to work full time for the entire internship from May 17 through August 6 2027.
  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for an employment visa now or in the future. Students currently on CPT OPT or STEM OPT generally require future sponsorship and do not meet this requirement unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
  • Must remain enrolled and in good standing in an accredited college or university program throughout the internship and must not graduate before or during the program.
  • Undergraduate students who will have completed at least four semesters by the program start date as well as eligible graduate students may apply.
  • Graduate students must be pursuing a masters degree PharmD Physician Assistant degree PhD or another clinical- or science-related degree.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 across all college coursework.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in biology cell or molecular biology chemistry biochemistry biomedical engineering public health nursing pre-medicine clinical pharmacology clinical or translational research computational biology precision medicine or a related field.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week. For non-laboratory roles the current hybrid model requires onsite work three days per week and allows remote work two days per week.
  • Strong analytical organizational problem-solving interpersonal written verbal and presentation skills with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables collaborate across global and cross-functional teams build productive relationships and communicate effectively with peers and leaders.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Excel Outlook PowerPoint SharePoint Teams and Word.
  • Experience with data visualization coding automation or artificial intelligence tools is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership or participation in campus community or service organizations is preferred.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
