Job Summary

The Logistics Planner provides logistics planning coordination and operational support services in support of ILS2 Task Order execution and Task 2 mission planning activities. This role supports the development and refinement of logistics support plans sustainment concepts movement planning strategies resource allocation approaches and operational support requirements for distributed missions across CONUS and OCONUS environments.

Working closely with logistics managers operational personnel mission partners government stakeholders and Forward Logistics Elements (FLEs) the Logistics Planner conducts logistics analysis and planning activities that support transportation coordination supply support infrastructure readiness equipment positioning contingency operations and sustainment planning. Through effective synchronization of logistics activities and support to mission planning efforts this position contributes to operational readiness continuity of operations and mission success across diverse operational environments.

This position is contingent upon award of the contract.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and support logistics plans sustainment concepts movement plans and operational support strategies in support of Task 2 mission requirements.
  • Conduct logistics analyses related to transportation coordination supply support equipment positioning infrastructure support contingency operations and sustainment readiness.
  • Coordinate logistics planning activities across operational units government stakeholders Forward Logistics Elements (FLEs) and supporting organizations.
  • Support resource allocation planning and logistics integration efforts to ensure mission requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist in the preparation of operational reports planning documentation readiness assessments and logistics coordination products.
  • Support planning and execution activities associated with exercises deployments operational missions and contingency operations.
  • Coordinate with logistics managers planners operational personnel and mission partners to ensure alignment of logistics support activities.
  • Monitor logistics requirements identify planning risks and constraints and recommend mitigation strategies to support mission execution.
  • Support continuity of operations and readiness initiatives through effective logistics planning and coordination.

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically requires a college or University Degree in Business related disciplines that focus on Supply Chain Purchasing and/or Logistics or the related combination of education and experience that provides knowledge and exposure to the fundamental theories principles and concepts within the specified discipline. May be entry level for those with an advanced degree. Typically requires 4 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in logistics planning supply chain management transportation planning sustainment operations or operational support activities.
  • Knowledge of logistics planning principles sustainment concepts transportation coordination and mission support operations.
  • Experience supporting military government contractor or large-scale operational environments.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and functional teams in support of operational objectives.
  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience developing reports planning products operational assessments or readiness documentation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DoD USINDOPACOM Joint logistics sustainment contingency or expeditionary operations.
  • Knowledge of deployment planning movement coordination distribution operations and sustainment requirements.
  • Experience supporting Forward Logistics Elements (FLEs) operational exercises or overseas mission activities.
  • Familiarity with military logistics planning processes readiness reporting and operational support planning.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed operations and high-visibility programs.
  • Prior military service or military logistics experience.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Certified in Logistics Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credentials.

The expected salary range for this position in Hawaii is $86400 - $129600 (update as required). Actual compensation may vary based on experience qualifications work location and other job-related factors. This range is provided in accordance with Hawaii pay transparency requirements and applies to candidates working in Hawaii.
