IL Maintenance Engineer I

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school education preferred.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of commercial or industrial maintenance experience required.
• Experience in electrical systems and HVAC is strongly preferred including at least one year working in these areas.
• Ability to remain calm and perform effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Security and follow established safety and facility protocols while on duty.

• Strong working knowledge of building systems including HVAC plumbing electrical and general mechanical equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Understanding of workplace safety practices including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Familiarity with maintenance practices in a healthcare or hospital environment.
• Basic knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
