IHS Specialist Part Time

Job Title: IHS SpecialistWage: $17.50 per hour (including Full-Time or Part-Time benefits based on schedule)Location:Cities Across Northern Minnesota (including but not limited to: Long Prairie Alexandria Burtrum Little Falls Browerville Staples)Schedule: Tuesday 5:30am-9am Every Other Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 9am-3pmJob Summary: As an Individualized Home Support (IHS) Specialist you will assist individuals in their personal residence or family home in working toward their personal goals. DSP staff support individuals with tasks such as meal preparation community outings shopping cleaning attending appointments and other activities in their homes and Job Duties:Work on tailored outcomes with each person served. Outcomes may include budgeting behavioral management community exploration meal planning organizational skills coping skills and/or physical fitnessBe an active participant with individuals served when working on outcomes and when out in the communityProvide guidance and instructional teaching to persons served while building life skillsProvide supervision and transportation in the community for activities and Qualifications:Staff must be at least 18 years of age to support Adult ProgramsProficient in spoken and written English languageHave a vehicle to use for work related purposes with current car insuranceHave an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policyHave a Wi-Fi-enabled device for work related purposesSuccessful clearance of a Department of Human Services (DHS) Background StudyPreferred Experience:At least 1 year supporting individuals with autism intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnosis
