UnityPoint Health Sioux City delivers a broad range of advanced healthcare services to residents across Iowa Nebraska and South Dakota. Through our two hospitals UnityPoint Health St. Lukes and UnityPoint Health St. Lukes Downtown as well as the June E. Nylen Cancer Center we provide comprehensive compassionate care close to home. Additionally UnityPoint Health PACE Senior Care Siouxland supports older adults with coordinated access to healthcare and social services including rehabilitation medication management transportation and more.

Responsibilities
  • Provide overnight PRN coverage in a collaborative ICU setting
  • Work 12-hour night shifts: 7p-7a
  • Flexible PRN schedule with an ideal commitment of 7 shifts per month
  • Primarily practice at the Downtown Campus but also provide coverage at North Campus as needed
  • Manage an average patient census of 7-8 patients per 12 hour shift
  • Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling
  • Evaluates interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
  • Patient-focused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Board Certified
  • 2-year minimum experience as a critical care provider
  • ATLS and ACLS required
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States
