Hydrovac operator

This role involves operating and maintaining hydrovac trucks and related equipment assisting with safe excavation activities and ensuring work is completed efficiently accurately and in compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience operating heavy equipment understands excavation and construction-site safety and can work professionally with team members clients and project personnel in the field.

• Operate hydrovac equipment to perform safe and precise excavation work
• Prepare inspect and maintain equipment before during and after use
• Assist with excavation utility exposure trenching support and job-site cleanup
• Follow all company client health safety and environmental requirements
• Use proper safety procedures including fall protection and site hazard awareness
• Work around commercial construction sites utilities and active project areas
• Communicate with supervisors crew members and clients while on job sites
• Complete daily equipment checks job documentation and required reports
• Identify equipment issues or safety concerns and report them promptly
• Work outdoors in different weather conditions and physically demanding environments
• Provide professional customer service and represent the company positively on-site

• Experience operating hydrovac equipment vacuum trucks or similar heavy equipment preferred
• Knowledge of excavation utility exposure and commercial construction practices
• Strong understanding of job-site safety procedures and fall protection requirements
• Ability to follow health safety and environmental regulations
• Valid CDL preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients supervisors and crew members
• Physically able to perform field work lift equipment climb stand bend and work in various weather conditions
• Dependable safety-minded and able to work as part of a field crew
• Strong attention to detail when operating equipment around utilities and active construction areas
