About the Role:
MindLink Resources LLC is looking for skilled Educational Interpreters in the following languages: Spanish Russian Ukrainian Portuguese Amharic Tigrinya to support onsite appointments in Edmonds WA. This is a meaningful opportunity to bridge communication gaps and make a direct impact on students educational experiences. Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation during onsite educational appointments
- Facilitate clear communication between students parents educators and school staff
- Interpret for IEP meetings parent-teacher conferences and student support sessions
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professional ethics throughout all assignments
- Adapt communication style to meet the needs of diverse student populations
- Accurately convey tone intent and meaning across language barriers in real time
- Coordinate with school administrators and MindLink staff to ensure smooth appointment logistics
Requirements:
- Fluency in English and at least one additional language
- Prior experience in educational medical or community interpreting preferred
- Knowledge of educational terminology IEP processes and school systems a plus
- Strong interpersonal and active listening skills
- Ability to remain neutral professional and impartial in all settings
- Reliable transportation and ability to report to onsite locations in Edmonds WA
- Interpreter certification (such as RID BEI or state-recognized credential) preferred
