Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer

The Opportunity:

Work on a development team utilizing Agile scrum methodology which is responsible for developing and maintain agency wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying a myriad of application stacks and data services.

Responsibilities:

• O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments

• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane Kyverno RedHat GitOps

• Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online

• Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them

• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions

• Support data services including RabbitMQ Redis PostgreSQL Elastic Stack

• Compile detailed documentation

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Programming Science Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• 5-8 years Developer experience

• Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security CE CND SSCP GSEC GICSP CySA or CCNA

Desired:

• Experience deploying and managing RedHat Open Shift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment

• Experience with Amazon Web Services

• Python Shell scripting Git

• Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS CentOS

• CI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI Jenkins

• Container technology: Docker Kubernetes and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem in general
