HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity in Waterford CT.

Pay:$35 - $45 per hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities

• Fabricate assemble and install commercial HVAC sheet metal systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications.
• Lay out measure and mark materials for fabrication and installation.
• Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment including shears brakes presses and forming rolls.
• Coordinate work with supervisors team members and other trades.
• Train and mentor apprentices as needed.
• Maintain required trade licenses and certifications.
• Follow all safety policies procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous customer service.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Connecticut SM2 Sheet Metal License required.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC sheet metal experience.
• Valid drivers license.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to stand walk bend kneel climb ladders and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in commercial construction environments.
