PEAK is seeking a skilled technician for a permanent opportunity in the scenic Whittier NC area. Nestled in the heart of the Smoky Mountains Whittier offers a serene and beautiful environment perfect for those who love the outdoors. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. This role involves the installation maintenance and repair of HVAC systems ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. The technician will work independently and as part of a team providing exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Install maintain and repair air conditioning and heating systems.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC equipment issues using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to design efficient HVAC solutions for various applications.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to build or modify equipment as needed.
  • Handle ammonia refrigeration systems safely and effectively.
  • Drive company vehicles to job sites while adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and equipment repairs.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a technician or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of air conditioning systems refrigeration and mechanical principles.
  • Familiarity with equipment repair techniques and troubleshooting methods.
  • Experience working with ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
