Century Mechanical Holdings is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician with strong refrigeration skills to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing troubleshooting repairing and maintaining residential and commercial HVAC systems along with commercial refrigeration equipment.
We are looking for a dependable skilled technician who can work independently accurately diagnose equipment issues and provide quality service while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Diagnose troubleshoot repair and maintain residential and commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Service air conditioning units heat pumps furnaces rooftop units (RTUs) and split systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers walk-in freezers reach-in refrigerators and ice machines.
- Diagnose and repair compressors condensers evaporators expansion valves motors and electrical components.
- Perform refrigerant leak detection pressure testing evacuation and refrigerant charging.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems controls thermostats and refrigeration components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams schematics and technical manuals.
- Identify equipment issues and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment issues repairs and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate service records work orders and documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with EPA regulations local codes and company safety standards.
Requirements
- 35 years of hands-on HVAC service experience required.
- Commercial refrigeration troubleshooting and repair experience required.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems components and controls.
- Experience servicing walk-in coolers freezers and other commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues independently.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service software preferred.
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to lift equipment work in confined spaces and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently.
