Job Summary: The HVAC Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design analysis and development of HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial industrial and federal projects. This role prepares engineering calculations drawings and specifications collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and ensures designs meet applicable codes client requirements and project schedules while delivering high-quality cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering design evaluation and planning of mechanical systems for healthcare science & technology education and commercial projects
  • Perform Load/Energy calculations with software such as Trace 700 Carrier HAP and similar programs
  • Work with senior engineer to conduct building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems
  • Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
  • Write/edit project specifications
  • Prepare detailed design documents reports and studies
  • Code compliance research
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines
  • Provide construction administration services

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (Strongly Preferred)
  • Proficient in Revit AutoCAD and MS Office
  • Strong grasp of thermodynamics fluid mechanics and local building codes
  • Familiarity with codes standards and design guidelines

Location: Philadelphia PA

Travel: Some travel to US sites.

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $100000 - $125000USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills experience qualifications and location.
