Job Summary

DPP is seeking an HVAC Mechanic III for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry.

Work Location: Onsite in El Segundo CA
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 Contract
Work Authorization: US Citizen

Responsibilities:

Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities or on machines and equipment (AHUs Chillers Cooling Towers VAVs Heaters Boilers Air Compressors Air Dryers Coolers Freezers).
Conduct routine periodic or special inspections to determine necessary repair and maintenance work to prevent breakdowns.
Use hand and power tools to troubleshoot test inspect and repair machines and equipment.
Review and follow blueprints sketches layouts wiring diagrams drawings and specifications.
Install service modify rebuild repair and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations.
Monitor and maintain centralized HVAC building automation systems including pneumatic systems and direct digital control.
Document and maintain records for the Maintenance Department including preventive maintenance activities and service reports.
Be physically capable of working in high places from ladders able to lift over 50 lbs and follow exacting written and verbal instructions.
Work on an on-call basis and handle responsibilities assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of experience in HVAC chillers cooling towers plumbing and mechanical systems.
Must own Basic HVAC Tools.
Must possess a Universal EPA License 608 and an Active California Drivers License.
Ability to work 9/80A Schedule.
Experience working in one or more of the maintenance trades: machine and equipment repair machine controls and/or electrical.
Familiarity with electrical/electronic components related to air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
Experience working within a Central Plant.

Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
Strong Interpersonal Skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
Strong commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience.
Experience in Aerospace/Defense Industry.
Strong computer math analytical and planning skills.
Experience with building maintenance management and tracking systems (work orders Computer-Aided Facilities Management Maximo).
Knowledge of building automation control systems and troubleshooting I/O.
Good communication skills and experience with Microsoft Outlook.
Experience working on HVAC equipment in a manufacturing environment that serves production machines.
