Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. This temporary position is located at 1915 Health Services Way Raleigh NC 28607- Wake County with Department of Health and Human Services - DCFW CHILD YOUTH.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $35.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

Effective July 1 2025 candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. The Knowledge Skills and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants.

This position will increase programmatic collaboration and communication pathways between families communities and mental health programs. This position will be responsible for increasing the statewide awareness of System of Care in North Carolina.

Job duties include but may not be limited to:

  • Oversight of all System of Care outreach activities including but not limited to conferences awareness events and community engagement activities.
  • Oversight of any contracts related to outreach and awareness.
  • Oversight of digital communications such as newsletter posts media posts
  • Serve as a primary connector between the North Carolina System of Care Team and state partners (including DHHS programs schools child welfare juvenile justice and private sector stakeholders).
  • Oversight of the System of Care Advisory Council (SOCAC)

Minimum Education and Experience

Masters degree in a discipline relative to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of related experience; or Bachelors degree in a discipline relative to the program area from an appropriately accredited institution and six years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
