HR Specialist 3 (Temp to Hire position)
Location: San Diego CA
Pay Range: $27-34/hour Full-Time (40 hours/week)
The HR Specialist 3 provides a full range of administrative support in functional areas of Human Resources including: benefits administration recruiting coordination immigration administration onboarding and management of employee files.

SUMMARY
Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources administrative support benefits administration recruiting or related areas. High school diploma required; College degree preferred.
Ability to speak and understand English using the telephone and email; effective public speaking skills in group settings.
Accurate data-entry skills which include 10 key and Excel.
Ability to work well with other people both internally and externally.
Ability to manage highly confidential information.
Proficient with Outlook Excel PowerPoint and MS Word.
Experience with UKG highly preferred.
Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the Human Resources Department on items related to new hires terminations compensation benefits retirement plan administration (both 401(k) and pension) and administration of the HRIS and other databases.
- Administer processes for expatriate employees including coordination of visa process coordination of expatriation and repatriations processing of financial allowances and general day-to-day support of expatriate staff.
- May create and/or audit spreadsheets related to recruitment efforts terminations new hire reports and compensation monthly. May assist with posting recruitment ads and internal job postings online.
- Maintains clean accurate personnel files and provide information for internal and external audits as requested in a timely manner. Files for the department.
- Performs research on employee benefit questions with a variety of carriers.
- May be exposed to HIPAA sensitive information as it relates to benefit administration FMLA and FSA reconciliation.
- Participates in the coordination of the Service Award Program.
- Assists with employee event planning and coordination.
- Tracks and audits open enrollment data.
- Communicates orally and via email with all employee groups outside vendors and the applicable agencies using a telephone group email face-to-face and/or one-on-one settings.
- Updates forms letters and company material (HTML and text) for the HR Department.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
