Role and Responsibilities

  • Answers and directs departmental phone calls.
  • Receives and distributes office mail.
  • Schedules and organizes appointments; takes minutes during departmental meetings.
  • Reviews tracks and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training continuing education and work assessments. This may include safety training anti-harassment training professional licensure and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Proofreads and types documents and correspondence produced by department.
  • Processes required paperwork for employee transfers changes in job classification salary increases and other related employment matters.
  • May assist with preparation of human resource reports such as attendance new hire and turnover reports.
  • Researches and compares incentive compensation plans offered by demographically comparable organizations; assesses competitors plans and makes recommendations for enhancements or improvements required to keep the organizations plans competitive and effective.
  • Facilitates accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers plan administrators or other appropriate service providers.
  • Completes records reporting and other documentation required by federal state and provider rules regulations and policies.
  • Maintains knowledge of economic conditions labor market and other factors related to ensuring the organization provides competitive and reasonable benefits and compensation scales and structures.
  • Develop administer and maintain talent management processes.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends best practices regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Three years of experience of administrative training and administering compensation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll and compensation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Preferred experience and skills

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Finance or related
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP

This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules procedures practices training and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury accidents or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations incidents or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately.
